TV Watch :: 'How to Make it in America'

Fashion, 20-something culture, New York City and "the hustle". These are the elements brought to life by Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk (Raising Victor Vargas) on How to Make It In America, a new Mark Wahlberg-produced program on HBO. Compared to Entourage, where the focus is the glamour, here the focus is the grit—and the humor that comes from it. As these young men compensate their business naïveté with their passion to launch a denim line, they beg for breaks from John Varvatos, fend off a gangster played by Luis Guzmán and party with rapper Kid Cudi. Here is the well-executed opening sequence, along with a free download of the show's theme song...

This is one of my new favorite shows and one of my favorite theme songs.

Though I live in NYC, I want to live in their NYC. Cool parties, good friends, and hardly any money in their pocket. Sounds like the sweet life minus the lack of money part. Great post Graham, love this show; it sucks that there was only 8 episodes.

I watched only 8 episodes. Were there any more? I loved this show, not for Kid(whom I love as a musician) but for the reality that I think it shows. The rwal NY, not a glam and 'rich' known from Sex and the City or Gossip Girl. The real one. And of course the music is great! :).
